Bulldogs Announce 2010 Summer Schedule
The
Kernersville Bulldogs recently announced their 2010 campaign.
The Bulldogs season opener will be on Thursday May 27 on
the road against the Martinsville Mustangs of the Coastal Plains
League. The 2010 slate consists of games with all CVCL
opponents as Kernersville attempts to defend its 2009 CVCL championship.
Nonconference contests with the Coastal Plains' Thomasville Hi-Toms,
Asheboro Copperheads, Martinsville Mustangs, and Gastonia Grizzlies, along
with home and home contests with the Proehlific Power should provide
Kernersville with good preparation for the year-ending CVCL Championships
in Hickory, NC. In addition, the Bulldogs will travel to Fairchild
Park in Burlington, NC to play the Burlington Royals. The
Royals are the rookie league affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.
Former
Bulldog Signs With United League
Greg Conrad a 6' 6" lefty from
Lenoir Ryhne and former record holder of the Bulldog pitching staff
has signed an independent league contract with the Rio Grande WhiteWings
of the Texas based United professional Baseball league. Greg will
be in the starting rotation and his first start will be around May
31.
